About me

I am Aditya Venkataraman. I work as a Platform Architect at Apple in the San Francisco Bay Area. In my day job, I build incredible software and hardware. Previously, I was at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, Nvidia (in Bangalore and Oregon), and National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli.

Despite my deeply technical background, this blog will contain little to no tech. It is devoted to my other interests – primarily books, politics, and travel. Despite not having lived in India since 2014, most of my writing pertain to Indian contexts. The views expressed in this blog are fully mine and in no way represent those of my current or past employers.

The blog has existed since 2008 and contains over 80 posts published over the past decade. The views expressed in some posts, particularly some early ones, no longer represent my current thinking on those subject matters. And yet, I chose to keep the posts up since I view this diary as a very public, private diary. The posts in it chart the progression of my views and beliefs over the years. I would like to remain faithful to that journey of individual growth and maturity.
